Australia Trip,  2019

In 2019, my wife Barbara and I fulfilled one of the items on our "Bucket List" by visiting Australia.  We sailed there on a cruise ship from Honolulu to Sydney, then flew to Cairns to join a birding group through the adventure travel firm Tropical Birding.  With two other birders from the States, Kathy and Eric, and our great bird guide Ben, we traveled for three weeks along the east coast from Cairns (including the Great Barrier Reef) to Brisbane, to Sydney, then on to Tasmania.  We saw beautiful scenery, mammals, reptiles, corals and reef fish,and I added about 250 species to my bird list.  Here are some photos from our trip (click on each photo to see a bigger image and the caption for the photo):
